Turn a character from Everlee into a carousel animal!

Below is a list of current characters with links to their reference sheets if they have one. Some of these characters haven't been in the comic yet, but that doesn't mean you can't use them. Also, there might be new characters before the contest ends, so if anyone wants to do a character not on the list, just ask me about it.

There will be two categories for this contest and you may enter both if you so choose:

1. Carousel Horses: This category is just for equines. Either keep the horse characters as horses or turn the wolf/mouse characters into horses, whatever you'd like!

2. Carousel Animals: This category is for everything BUT horses. Have fun with it and let your imagination run wild! Turn the horses into lions, turn the mice into manatees! Whatever strikes your fancy. You can be really creative here. In fact, the more creative, the better!


Each category will have it's own 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes (6 prizes in total) and they are as follows:

1st Place: Digital image, one character, full background.

2nd Place: Digital image, one character, partial background.

3rd Place: Digital image, one character, blank background.
Ex: [link] ; [link]

The prizes are subject to embellishment depending on if I suddenly have extra time and money at the end of the summer, but they won't be any LESS than this.


No set due date yet, but it'll be sometime in August, so you've got plenty of time to whip out something amazing! I'll let everyone know when I decide a deadline.

3. NOTE ME the link with something about the contest in the subject line, preferably "Contest Entry" ! Please don't send me the link any other way because I'd be extremely likely to lose track of it. O_O

4. Sit back and take a break. You've earned it.

After I start getting entries I'll make a special journal to display them and add to it as entries come in. That way you'll know that I know you've entered.


1. Turn Everlee characters into carousel animals.

2. You may turn them into any animal you can think of, so long as when you're done it looks like it belongs on a carousel. That included fantasy animals as well. For ideas here's a site with tons of images of carousel animals: [link]

2b. Users creating unicorns may specify whether they'd like it to be judged as a "Carousel Horse" or a "Carousel Animal."

3. Some carousel animals have poles going through them, some don't. I think the pole makes it read more instantly as "carousel," but whether or not you include one is up to you.

4. Anyone may enter.

5. Use whatever medium you prefer, traditional or digital.

6. Creativity is more important than skill--please don't feel intimidated!

7. Backgrounds are not required.

8. Submitted work must be your own. No stealing, duh!

9. You may enter as many times as you like, in either category, but keep in mind that you can only win one prize.

10. Have fun or else!
